And Thank You for Reading.Hi, my name is Dian, most of my families and friends call me Di (in English: Dee). I’m married with my 10 years boyfriend. Currently living in the most gorgeous country in the world: Indonesia. Even though there are a lot a negative news about my country, but I truly believe we still have hope 🙂
I always thought I am that ordinary girl who have ordinary work as analyst in my daily life. Yes, I am an analyst who have education background in Accounting (I know that most of people think that it is boring), but in the other side, working with number sometimes is really interesting. But honestly now I don’t have a really close relationship with numbers. Have other thing to see (but still ordinary I guess). I work 7 AM to 4 PM anyway.
Other than that I love to read almost anything, watch sitcom and ‘so you think you can dance’ (the best dance show in the world!). I do love dancing, but too bad that I just have the opportunity to take formal dance lesson at age mid 20s, so it is just my another hobby. My deepest desire would be to be a master in ‘cooking’ at least per la mia famiglia; current skill of cooking: maybe -100! I love Cat! At the moment, I am taking Italian Language course just because I heard someone talked in Italy and it sounds sexy..
Enough about my ordinary life 🙂
What about traveling?
Even though I am not a full-time traveler due to my 7 AM to 4 PM work, traveling is still addictive for me. I travel with my vacation balance or by business trip. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2007 was my first time in overseas trip. It was business trip actually. From 2007 until now year 2012, I have traveled to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur & Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya & Bangkok (Thailand) and Siem Reap (Cambodia). And finally has landed my feet in Europe which I traveled through Amsterdam (Netherlands), Paris (France), Bern and Interlaken (Switzerland), Barcelona (Spain), Milan then Venice and Verona (Italy), Prague (Czech), Berlin (Germany). In Indonesia, I have visit Lampung (my mom’s hometown), Yogyakarta (my dad’s hometown), Solo, Semarang, Bali, Jambi, Dieng and Medan (my husband’s hometown). Still wait more to come.
By traveling I can see the other part of the world and seeing them with my own bare eyes is privilege. Maybe most of you thought, from traveling I found a lot things about the place and its people. It’s true, but most of it I found more about me during the travel.
The story behind the blog
This is my travel blog. At the beginning, I blog to document all of my journey for my future kids and grandchild (LOL, but it’s true). So they can see what I see during the journey. And of course show them that their mama or their nana once was adventurous enough and at the end motivate them to do the same. I do believe that travel is an education for the traveler.
This blog will be most about an honest confession about my traveling experience, travel contemplation, the places I have visit, might be about the people whom I met also the adventures that have changed me and become a part of me now.
Hope it will be nicely written, thus I could share what I have found and enjoy during my traveling time, and finally refer my original objective..hope this blog could inspire you to travel or maybe to consider that travel is worth to try as new interesting activity.
